Six Organs of Admittance is the long-running project of Northern California guitarist Ben Chasny. Blending new folk, drone, psychedelia, and experimental textures, Chasny has built a prolific body of work since founding the project in 1998.
After early releases on small labels, Six Organs found a home on Drag City, releasing acclaimed albums such as Sun Awakens (2006), Ascent (2012), and The Veiled Sea (2021). Known for constant evolution, Chasny also developed the Hexadic card-based composition system and continues to explore new forms, most recently with the 2024 releases Time Is Glass and the collaborative Jinxed by Being.
