Stone et Charden were one of the most successful French pop duos of the early 1970s, later becoming a staple of the nostalgia circuit. Formed by husband-and-wife team Éric Charden and Parisian chanteuse Stone (Annie Gautrat), the duo came together in 1971 after marrying five years earlier.

They scored four number-one hits before disbanding and divorcing later in the decade. Reuniting in the late 1990s, Stone et Charden enjoyed renewed popularity, headlining the Âge Tendre et Têtes de Bois tour. Shortly after receiving the Légion d'honneur and releasing the comeback album Made in France, Éric Charden passed away from cancer in 2012.
