The Name

The Name makes a blazing comeback with the soundtrack to Bref Season 2: devastating grooves, powerful analog synths, oversized kicks and snares, all driven by razor-sharp production and a hypnotic drumming style in the vein of LCD Soundsystem. With an even more assertive sound, the duo moves effortlessly between club-ready bangers, infectious pop melodies, feverish techno, and cinematic atmospheres.

Among the 26 original tracks (out of 40) that make up the soundtrack, Bright Eyes stands out as a luminous, hopeful electro-pop gem, while Chasing Us hits hard as a sharp house track infused with Oizo and Disclosure influences. CRASH packs a punch with raw energy reminiscent of Justice’s most explosive productions, and Meet Ben emerges as a dark masterpiece where The Name’s abyssal electronic textures collide with Clément Libes’ majestic string arrangements.

But it’s on stage that The Name truly unleashes its full power. In 2025, the duo returns to the road with an ultra-efficient live show—synths and drums—designed to electrify audiences and keep them dancing nonstop. This comeback builds on a career marked by standout moments: high-profile syncs for France TV and the Sochi Olympics, Louis Vuitton via Verlatour, and Bref Season 1, as well as striking collaborations with Christine and the Queens (Distance, Wasteland) and José Reis Fontao of Stuck in the Sound.
